Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the RealOnline Authentication Gateway (the "Gateway"). By signing in with Google and using the Gateway, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Gateway.

2. What the Gateway Does

The Gateway provides a single sign in using Google OAuth 2.0 and relays a verified identity to Client Applications operated by us. The Gateway does not provide access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data unless a scope is explicitly listed on the consent screen and accepted by you. For current scope details, see the consent screen presented by Google.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract.
• You are responsible for the security of your Google account and any actions taken through the Gateway using your identity.
• You agree to keep your information accurate and to notify us of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Gateway or attempt to bypass security or rate limits.
• Access or use the Gateway in a way that violates law, infringes rights, or disrupts service for others.
• Automate sign ins or token flows in a manner that breaches Google or RealOnline policies.
• Misrepresent your identity or use another person’s credentials.

5. Third Party Services (Google)

Sign in is provided by Google. Your use of Google services is subject to Google terms and policies. We do not control Google systems and are not responsible for their availability, security, or changes.

6. Privacy

We process personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Gateway, you acknowledge that policy and consent to processing as described.

7. Service Availability and Changes

• The Gateway may change, suspend, or discontinue at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime.
• We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Gateway, software, design, and content are owned by RealOnline or its licensors. Except for the limited right to access the Gateway under these Terms, no license or right is granted. Do not copy, modify, decompile, or create derivative works of the Gateway.

9. Disclaimers

The Gateway is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. We do not warrant that the Gateway will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RealOnline and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Gateway, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In all cases, our total liability for all claims relating to the Gateway will be limited to the greater of ZAR 1,000 or the amount you paid us to use the Gateway in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold RealOnline harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Gateway, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or the rights of any third party.

12. Suspension and Termination

• We may suspend or terminate access to the Gateway immediately for breach of these Terms, security risk, fraud risk, or to comply with law.
• You may stop using the Gateway at any time and may request account deletion: Request Account Deletion .

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, seated in Johannesburg, for any dispute that is not resolved informally.

Before filing a claim, each party agrees to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by written notice and a 30 day negotiation period.

15. Miscellaneous

• Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
• No waiver: failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• Assignment: you may not assign rights under these Terms without our consent.
• Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Gateway.

16. Definitions

Gateway

The RealOnline Authentication Gateway that relays Google OAuth sign ins to Client Applications.

Client Applications

Applications operated by RealOnline that accept identities relayed by the Gateway.

You

The individual using the Gateway.
